The D&D Success Story: Transforming Ohio's Schools

(video will play automatically in a moment)

Introducing a breakthrough way to keep floors looking new.

Flooring represents only 1-2% of construction costs but 35-50% of ongoing maintenance costs. Most facilities spend an inordinate amount of time keeping floors looking just-waxed, an endless cycle of stripping, waxing and buffing with all its associated costs. This is especially frustrating in schools where funds are so limited.

D&D's floor coating is a next-generation clear topcoat that gives floors a high gloss finish without the need for ongoing stripping, waxing or burnishing. To maintain a high gloss finish for years, all you have to do is dust mop and wet mop your floors as needed. You can either get rid of your buffing machines or continue to use them as auto-scrubbers, using a white or champagne colored pad (on a minimum 1700 rpm machine). The coating is a non-immersible, non-flammable zero VOC coating, chemical and stain resistant and fully re-coatable and repairable. The coating also meets ADA compliance for slip resistance.

Your savings will be immediate and significant: reduced maintenance labor and fewer expensive chemicals to purchase. And less time on floor care will free much more time for other custodial obligations. Use our online calculator to determine your own facility's potential savings compared to the old ways of wax.

Finally put an end to your chair problem.

Schools and other facilities all over the country have been searching forever to find a solution to one of their most vexing floor problems - scooting chairs ruining their floors. Wax is completely ineffective and tennis balls are, well, better for playing tennis.

D&D can solve your chair problem for good. On every job, D&D first coats the floors, which significantly strengthens floor durability. Then, as an extra measure of prevention, D&D also installs free chair glides on your most abrasive chairs - those with metal or nylon caps. Our coating's far superior durability and custom glides together put an end to scratched floors, without forcing you to buy new chairs.

Our technology has rekindled pride of ownership for facility managers all over the country.

As you'll see by our customer references, our coating technology has been used in facilities in Ohio and all over the country, on surfaces ranging from VCT and terrazzo to concrete, rubber, wood and ceramic. Listen to a facility manager talk about our technology and you'll hear genuine passion for a product that's been able to greatly improve the look of their facilities and eliminate many maintenance hassles at the same time.

The coating is approved by the EPA for asbestos encapsulation.

Far less expensive and disruptive than removal, asbestos encapsulation is a key method of abatement recommended by the EPA and OSHA. Download our MSDS sheets for more information.

D&D provides ongoing Continuous Care Service support unlike anything else in the industry.

Every D&D applicator is first certified to apply the coating, a nontrivial training program that teaches applicators a process far different than ordinary wax application. Certified applicators are then able to back every job with Continuous Care Service Coverage, in which D&D applicators return to your site every four months to ensure the coating is performing as promised. During those checkups, we'll also add free chair glides to any new chairs you may have acquired in the interim. Every four to seven years, D&D recommends a light recoating of the product. In doing so, you reactivate the Continuous Care Service, and D&D will continue to check your floors every four months.
